1 AMENDMENT II TO AGREEMENT
2 THIS AMENDMENT II TO AGREEMENT (hereinafter "Amendment ") is made and entered into
3 this ~ day of August, 2020, by and between COUNTY OF FRESNO, a Political Subdivision of the
4 State of California , Fresno, California (hereinafter "COUNTY"), and California Forensic Medical Group,
5 a California for profit corporation, whose address is 1283 Murfreesboro Road, Suite 500 , Nashville, TN
6 37217 (hereinafter "CONTRACTOR").
7 WITNESS ETH:
8 WHEREAS, COUNTY and CONTRACTOR entered into Agreement number A-18-169, dated
9 April 3, 2018 (hereinafter "Agreement"), pursuant to which CONTRACTOR agreed to provide medical
1 O and behavioral health care services within COUNTY Sheriff-Coroner-Public Administrator's Office
11 Adult Detention Facilities identified as North Annex, Main and South Annex jails ("JAIL"); and
12 WHEREAS, COUNTY and CONTRACTOR entered into Amendment Number One to the
13 Agreement (hereinafter "Amendment I"), dated April 28, 2020, to allow the Sheriff-Coroner-Public
14 Administrator's Office to pre-pay amounts due under the Agreement in exchange for a 1 % discount for
15 the months of May , June, July and August of 2020, as the CONTRACTOR faced challenges in
16 continuing to provide services in COUNTY's JAIL due to the COVID-19 pandemic; and
17 WHEREAS, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in the JAIL,
18 the COUNTY is in need of additional medical staffing to provide COVID-19 testing services, reporting
19 and investigation, as well as COVID-19 patient care for inmates in the JAIL; and
20 WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR has the capacity to provide such additional staffing and to provide
2 1 such additional COVID-19 services; and
22 WHEREAS, the parties now desire to amend the Agreement in order to provide for such
23 additional staffing.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual promises, covenants and conditions,
25 hereinafter set forth, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
26 1. In addition to the staffing CONTRACTOR is required to provide under the Agreement, the
27 parties agree that CONTRACTOR shall provide additional staffing as set forth in Exhibit A ,
28 attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. This additional staffing shall be
