TOTAL COST PART I: A $61,450.53 DECREASE TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: ZERO WORKING DAYS PART II: ADJUST UNIT PRICE OF BID ITEM NO. 48, MIDWEST GUARDRAIL SYSTEM (WOOD POST) At your request we are adjusting the unit price of Bid Item No. , according to Section 9-Standard Specifications. The quantity of this bid item in the Bid Book differed from the quantity on the plans. Because the project plans have a higher governing ranking than the Bid Book according to Section 5- Standard Specifications, this bid item was decreased by 60 percent (150 LF) (Part I of this change order). The unit price adjustment was based on the difference between the unit price and the unit cost of the total pay quantity according to Section 9-,of the Standard Specifications. This bid item had a unit price of $42.00, and the unit cost is $72.80. The difference between the unit price and the unit cost is ($72.80 - $42.00 = $30.80) $30.80. The total adjustment for the 100 LF of guardrail placed is an additional $3,080. This work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted. TOTAL COST PART II: A $3,080 INCREASE TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART II: ZERO WORKING DAYS PART III: INSTALL END ANCHOR ASSEMBLY (TYPE MSKT) INSTEAD OF (TYPE SRT) Install End Anchor Assembly (Type MSKT) instead of (Type SRT) as the end treatment on the metal beam guardrail system at all four corners, according to Section 4- and Extra Work the Standard Specifications. , Special Provisions and Standard Specifications, and as shown on the Plans. Payment for the work will be made as extra work at an agreed price of $17,004, according to Section 9-1.03, of the Special Provisions. The agreed lump sum price includes compensation of all materials, labor, equipment, tools, traffic control, incidentals, delays if, and markups for this change. This work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted.
