AGREEMENT NO.14-682-1
AMENDMENT I TO AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT I TO AGREEMENT 14-682,hereinafter referred to as
Amendment I,is made this 3u>Adav of ^Xxpjl.,2015,by and between the
COUNTY OF FRESNO,a political subdivision of the State of California,hereinafter
referred to as the "County",and the CITY OF REEDLEY,hereinafter referred to as the
"City".
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS,the County has been designated as the sponsoring agency to
administer and implement the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)Program
activities of the County,and its participating cities,in accordance with the provisions of
Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974,as amended,and the
laws of the State of California;and
WHEREAS,on November 4,2014,the County and the City entered into
Agreement 14-682,hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement",whereby $323,013 in
CDBG funds were made available to the City for the Reedley City Street Improvements,
Phase VI,Project No.14571,hereinafter referred to as the "Project";and
WHEREAS,the total estimated cost of the Project has increased from $323,013
to $475,927 due to increased construction costs;and
WHEREAS,the City now has an additional $152,914 from its allocation of CDBG
funds that can be made available to the Project to accommodate the increased
construction costs;and
WHEREAS,the City has requested these additional CDBG funds in the amount
of $152,914 be made available to the Project.
NOW THEREFORE,in consideration of their mutual promises as hereinafter set
forth,the City and the County agree to amend the Agreement as follows:
1.That the text on Page 1,Lines 16 through 21 be amended to read:

1 "WHEREAS,the total cost of the Project is estimated to be $475,927 and the City
2 has requested the sum of $475,927 in CDBG funds be made available for the Project;
3 and
4 WHEREAS,the County can make available $475,927 in CDBG funds needed for
5 the Project from the City's CDBG allocation ($406,927)and from unprogrammed 2014-
6 15 CDBG funds from the City of Mendota ($69,000);and"
7 2.That the proposed Project budget on Page 3,Lines 4 through 6 be
8 amended to read:

12 3.That the dollar figure set forth on Page 3,Lines 9 and 27,and Page 5, Line
13 6,be amended to read "$475,927".
14 4.That the proposed funding summary on Page 3,Lines 12 and 13 be
15 amended to read:
16 "CDBG $475,927
Local Financial Contribution 0
17 Total $475,927"
18 All remaining provisions,terms,covenants,conditions,and promises contained in
19 said Agreement dated November 4,2014,shall remain in full force and effect.
