Follow Up Flag: Follow up Flag Status: Completed We only received informal communication from our Grant Manager about the extension (see attached). I uploaded this emailed documentation (perhaps that's what eContracts didn't like) — but I also attached the Funding Expended document form because it shows that the funding has been extended until November 30, 2025 on that official form. Most of the information from the Grantor says to go to the website for all information, but there is no official document or amendment that verifies an extension. This was the best I have that is available to me to upload to eContracts. December 22, 2024 Vince &Amy Good news! -The California Workforce Development Board (WDB) has approved a 6-month extension of the MEHKO Grant period.Therefore the previous deadline of May 31, 2025, has been extended for 6 months to November 30, 2025. Fresno County received a MEHKO Entitlement/Block Grant for$ 155,451.75 and the Grant conditions included expending the funds by May 31, 2025 along with submission of the Final Report due by May 31, 2025. Due to the 6-month extension, the deadlines previously included on your MEHKO Block Grant Acceptance Agreement are extended to November 30, 2025 providingyou additional time to utilize these grant funds. The final report will now be due on or before November 30, 2025, describing all activities undertaken and an accounting of all grant funds expended. Supporting documentation may include approved budgets, timesheets, or other documents to verify eligible expenditures. The CCDEH MEHKO Grant funds website has been updated, where you will find the MEHKO Grant Approved Expenditures document, along with other MEHKO Program Resources: •Link to the updated MEHKO Grant page. 2 If you expend all of your MEHKO Block Grant funds, there is additional MEHKO funding available to Local Environmental Health Jurisdictions through reimbursement grants. Jurisdictions who received a MEHKO Entitlement/Block Grant are not eligible for the MEHKO Reimbursement Grants until all of the Block Grant funds are expended. The CCDEH Website has just been updated to include information for the MEHKO Reimbursement Grants for Local Environmental Health jurisdictions. While the deadline to submit an application for the MEHI<O Reimbursement Grant is September 30, 2025, I would encourage jurisdictions who intend to expend all of their Block Grant funds to apply for the reimbursement funding as soon as you have additional eligible unreimbursed expenses, as these grant funds are available on a first come, first serve basis until the funds are exhausted.
