HomeMy WebLinkAbout2418C CCO 03.pdf COUNTY OF FRESNO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER GOLDEN STATE BOULEVARD PHASE 2 CHANGE ORDER NO. 03 DRAPER STREET TO CLAYTON AVENUE OCTOBER 20, 2025 STATE PROJECT NUMBER: SB1 LPPL-5942(307) PAGE 1 OF 4 CONTRACT NO. 24-18-C TO: DON BERRY CONSTRUCTION, INC.: Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for this contract. Because of the change(s), 20 -WORKING DAYS will be added to the allotted contract time. PART I: INSTALL K-MARKERS AT BETHEL AVENUE INTERSECTON— EXTRA WORK This change was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, install K- markers at Bethel Avenue intersection as per the attached revised Plan Sheet 76B, as directed by the engineer. Perform all work in accordance with Section 82, "Signs and Markers," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. Compensation for the materials will be made at an agreed price of$1,237.50, in accordance with Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. This agreed price includes compensation for all labor, materials, equipment, traffic, incidentals, overheads, markups, and profits, no additional compensation will be made thereafter. This amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 3, Supplemental Work, with no net increase to the contract. This change did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted. TOTAL COST PART I: $0.00 (PAID IN BID ITEM NO. 3) TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS PART II: INSTALL ACCESSIBLE PEDESTRIAN SIGNALS (APS) AT GOLDEN STATE BOULEVARD AND MERCED STREET INTERSECTION — EXTRA WORK This change was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, install a total of four(4) additional APS units at the Golden State Boulevard and Merced Street intersection. Perform all work in accordance with Section 86-1.02T, "Accessible Pedestrian Signals," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. Compensation for the materials will be made at an agreed price of$7,920, in accordance with Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. This agreed price includes compensation for all labor, materials, equipment, traffic, incidentals, overheads, markups, and profits, no additional compensation will be made thereafter. This amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 3, Supplemental Work, with no net increase to the contract. This change did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, blackout the existing striping at the Temperance Avenue intersection which was placed in Phase 1 of the Golden State Boulevard Project and place new striping to match the current project striping. Perform all work in accordance with Section 84, "Markings," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. Compensation for the additional striping will be made at the unit bid prices of the pertaining bid items (shown below), compensation for the removal of the existing striping (includes sealing of the surface) will be made at the agreed unit prices; $0.81 per linear foot for Details 12, 25, 39, and 39A, in accordance with Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. Total compensation for the additional striping resulted in $2,925.98, this amount will be paid through Bid Item Nos. 54, 55, and 57. Total compensation for the removal of the existing striping resulted in $2,080.08, this amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 3, Supplemental Work with no net increase to the contract. This change did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted. Grant a time extension of 20-working days to the "Second Order of Work" due to the long lead time for the traffic signal equipment delivery. This time extension is being granted according to Section 8-1.07B, "Time Adjustments," of the Standard Specifications. TOTAL COST PART IV: $0.00 (NO COST) TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART IV: 20 -WORKING DAYS PART V: REVISE PROJECT PLANS (SELMA REGION) This change was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, replace Plan Sheet 77A with the attached revised Plan Sheet 77B. The revision included in this revised plan sheet adds a total of six (6) roadside signs, including R6-2, R1-2, R3(CA)(40), R9-3, and R2-1(40). Perform all work in accordance with Section 82, "Signs and Markers," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. Compensation for the additional roadside signs will be made at unit bid prices of the pertaining bid items (shown below), and compensation for the additional mobilization will be made at agreed price of$605, according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. These changes did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted.
