Re: Notice of Agreement Termination and the Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program-Education Funding,Agreement No. A-24-493 with California Health Collaborative
Dear Mr. Garrett,
The County of Fresno (County),through its Department of Public Health (Department), was a recipient of an
award from the California Department of Public Health (State),who administers a portion of the United States
Department of Agriculture funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program(SNAP-Ed)known in
California as the CalFresh Healthy Living(CFHL)program. Through this opportunity, the Department currently
has an agreement with California Health Collaborative(CHC)to provide nutrition behavioral economics and food
waste prevention and recovery intervention activities in retail stores for the CFHL program. Due to the
Department's recent correspondence from the State agency, funding for SNAP-Ed CFHL programs will no longer
be available as of October 1, 2025, in the same capacity. The County is providing advance written notice to CHC
and invoking Article 6.1, Termination and Suspension for Non-Allocation of Funds. This letter will serve as the
County's 30-day advance written notice to terminate Agreement Number A-24-493, for lack of funding by the
appropriating government agency.
The final day of this Agreement shall be September 30, 2025. Please submit all invoices, along with relevant
supporting documents, under this Agreement term through September 30, 2025, by November 29, 2025, or
sooner. Any invoices for services after September 30, 2025,will not be eligible for reimbursement. The final day
to access Program Evaluation and Reporting System (PEARS) and any other platform provided by the State
agency will be September 30, 2025. Additionally, please submit the CFHL quarterly tracking report by October
15,2025. Program staff will be in contact to establish any other close out activities and reporting requirements.
The Department has enjoyed working with CHC under Fresno County's CFHL program and we are proud of the
impact that has been achieved through this partnership. We look forward to other possible collaborations in the
future. Should have you have any questions or concerns regarding this notice, please reach out to Claudia
