Because of the change(s), SEVEN (7) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract timeline. EXCAVATE WATERMAIN TRENCH TO ADDITOINAL 6-INCH DEPTH AND EXCAVATE A DRAINAGE TRENCH — EXTRA WORK This change was proposed by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, excavate the watermain trench to an additional 6-inch depth between Sta. 10+00 and Sta. 10+50 (Flintridge Drive) to place additional gravel bedding and excavate a drainage trench from the watermain alignment to the roadside drainage ditch at Sta. 10+00 to dissipate the natural springs' water. Perform all work according to the applicable sections of the Special Provisions and/or Standard Specifications, as directed by the Resident Engineer. Payment for this work will be made as extra work at Force Account according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. Total compensation for this work resulted in a $5,094.04 increase, this amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 1, Supplemental Work with no net increase to the contract amount. Seven (7) working days will be added to the contract time for the above referenced extra work, in accordance with Section 8-1.07B, "Time Adjustments," of the Special Provisions.
