Because of the proposed change, THREE (3) -WORKING DAYS will be granted to the allotted contract time. PERFORM EXTRA WORK This extra work was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, perform the following extra work: • Sawcut approximately 1' from the edge of the pavement to excavate, grade, and compact subgrade to build and place a 3' wide x 250' long x 0.25' thick hot mix asphalt (HMA) shoulder extension and install approximately 250' of(Type E) HMA dike along the eastside of Fowler Avenue, south of Olive Avenue approximately between Sta. 95+40 to 97+90. The HMA dike shall have tapered openings installed to allow drainage at every 25'. The finished dike shall be painted white. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for completing this work. • Excavate and grade new drainage ditches to the dimensions shown in the revised drainage Sheet Nos. 1 & 2 (attached) at the northwest and southwest corner. The work includes installing check dams within the existing drainage ditch as depicted in the revised plan sheets. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for completing this work. Perform all work according to the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications and the Special Provisions. Payment for this work will be made as extra work at an agreed lumpsum price of$31,000, according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. This amount will be paid as extra work. Three (3) working days will be added to the contract time for the above referenced extra work, in accordance with Section 8-1.07B, "Time Adjustments," of the Project Specifications.
