Re: DBH Olive Ave Parapet Wall Inspection Findings and Recommendations
Following the recent site inspection at DBH Olive Ave, we have documented an issue with the
current installation of the plywood on the parapet wall. It was observed that the plywood does not
extend fully to the existing decking and has been installed using mechanical attachment to the
concrete wall.
Due to the gap between the plywood wall and the extent of dry rot present, we recommend the
removal of the existing plywood. In its place, we propose the installation of Tremply KEE Single Ply
membrane, which will be adhered directly to the existing concrete wall. This is an approved
application per Tremco guidelines and will not affect the warranty after completion.
We trust this solution will address the identified issues effectively. Please let us know if you require
any further information or if you would like to discuss this recommendation in more detail.

MATERIALS UNAVAILABLE
In addition,some materials are either back ordered or not available. In the event that any item is back ordered or cannot be acquired,
Owner agrees that the time in which the backordered or unavailable item is not available will not be counted against contractor in terms
of determining completion dates. Contractor agrees to timely notify Owner of all unavailability of materials and will provide an
estimated date of receipt of the materials.
LABOR SHORTAGE
The construction business is currently experiencing a shortage of trained labor to perform the work. Contractor shall endeavor to
provide sufficient workforce to timely complete the project. However,in the event that a sufficient workforce cannot be maintained,
the increase in time to complete the project shall not be counted against Contractor in terms of determining completion dates.
Contractor agrees to timely notify Owner of all labor shortages and will provide a revised estimated completion date to Owner.
Any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra cost,will be executed only upon written orders,and will become
an extra charge over and above the estimate. All agreements are contingent upon strikes,accidents or delays beyond our control.
Owner shall carry fire,tornado and other necessary insurance upon above work. Worker's compensation and public liability insurance
on above will be taken out by Fresno Plumbing&Heating,Inc.

The County requests an itemized proposal for changes to the Contract Sum and Contract Time for proposed modifications to the
Contract Documents described herein.The Contractor shall submit the proposal within five(5)days or notify the Project Manager in
writing of the anticipated date of submission.
DESCRIPTION:
Please provide a proposal, in accordance with project documents, for the following:
1. Remove and replace all roof drains and overflow drains; 16 roof drains and 16 overflow
drains (Contractor shall verify quantity).
2. Provide new piping as necessary to connect roof drains to existing drain piping.
3. Provide and secure new piping as necessary to connect overflow drains to daylight at
soffit below.
4. Provide either individual or a combination assembly of cast iron roof drain and overflow
(secondary) roof drain with cast iron dome strainers as required by CPC 1102.2.
The cost proposal shall clearly identify materials, labor, and any administrative costs. It shall
also reflect potential savings for labor required to clean the existing roof drains for installation of
the new roof.
