HomeMy WebLinkAbout1807C CCO01.pdf COUNTY OF FRESNO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER FRESNO COUNTY WESTSIDE GROUNDWATER PROJECT CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 EL PORVENIR (CSA 30) &CANTUA CREEK (CSA 32) CONTRACT NO. 18-07-C PILOT HOLE TESTING AND PRODUCTION WELL CONSTRUCTION JUNE 17, 2019 DRINKING WATER STATE REVOLVING FUND- PAGE 1 OF 2 PROJECT NO. 1000359-005C TO: ZIM INDUSTRIES, INC.: You are hereby directed to make the herein described changes from the plans and specifications or do the following described work not included in the plans and specifications on this contract. By reasons of the proposed changes, 22 Working days will be granted to the allotted contract time. The revised completion date is September 9, 2019. PART 1: ELIMINATE BID ITEM#41 Eliminate Bid Item#41 Earthwork and Chemical Treatment in its entirety in accordance with Section 9-1.06D, "Eliminated items", of the State Standard Specifications. The Contractor incurred no costs related to this bid item, therefore no compensation or partial compensation will be made to the Contractor for eliminating this bid item. This bid item is being eliminated in its entirety at its full bid price, resulting in a decrease of$60,000. TOTAL COST PART I: $60,000 DECREASE TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART 1:ZERO -WORKING DAYS PART 11: PERFORM EARTHWORK BY MIXING CLASS 2 AGGREGE BASE MATERIAL WITH NATIVE SOIL—EXTRA WORK Furnish 270 cubic yards of virgin Class 2 Aggregate Base and mix it with approximately 455 cubic yards of washout soil in the basin to stabilize an approximately 725 cubic yard volume near the south-west corner of the drainage basin at the Cantua Creek project site. This work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and delivering the aggregate base material to the site, removing eroded material from the storage basin, mixing washout soil with aggregate base material, placing mixture, compacting and grading mixture, and removing and reinstalling the existing chain link fence. Perform all work in accordance with applicable sections/portions of the Plans, project Specifications, and State Standard Specification to the satisfaction of the Engineer. Submit test results for the Class 2 Aggregate Base to the Engineer for review and approval prior to furnishing the material. Compensation for this work will be made as extra work at agreed lump sum price of$57,000, in accordance with Section 9-1.03 Payment Scope of the Special Provisions. This agreed lump sum price includes compensation for all labor, materials, tools, equipment, traffic control, incidentals, overhead costs, delay costs if any, and profits for performing the above referenced work, no additional compensation will be allowed. This time extension includes five working days for unsuitable.working conditions due to the rain/wet surface conditions; 14 working days for the delays occurred obtaining the well permits from County's Environmental Health Department; and three (3)'working days for the unavailability of water at the project site (due to non-project related water main incident in the area) essential for the drilling operations.
