Make the following change(s) to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for
this contract. Because of the proposed change(s), ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS will be granted to the allotted
contract time.
PART I: REMOVE & DISPOSE TRASH - EXTRA WORK
This extra work was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, remove &
dispose trash encountered at the northeast corner (side-slope) of the proposed recharge basin. This work
includes separating the trash from the soil using physical/mechanical methods and disposing the trash at the
American Avenue Disposal Site. Remove trash approximately 2-feet below the finish grade and backfill the
over excavated area with clean native soil. Perform all work according to the applicable sections of the
Standard Specifications and the Special Provisions. Payment for this work will be made as extra work at Force
Account according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. The disposal fee for the
trash was paid directly by the County through the project account. Total compensation (payable to the
contractor) for this work resulted in a $19,245 increase. This amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 7,
Supplemental Work Allowance, with no net increase to the contract.
This extra work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was
not warranted.

TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS
PART II: REMOVE AND DISPOSE EXISTING POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC) STANDPIPE AND
CONCRETE PAD — EXTRA WORK
This extra work was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, remove &
dispose existing 12-inch PVC standpipe and the surrounding concrete found in the easterly embankment, near
the northeast corner. Expose, cut, and cap (using standard concrete plug) the pipe approximately 2-feet below
the finish grade. Perform all work according to the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications and the
Special Provisions. Payment for this work will be made as extra work at Force Account according to Section 9-
1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. Total compensation for this work resulted in a $2,147.41
increase. This amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 7, Supplemental Work Allowance, with no net increase
to the contract.

PART III: ADJUST COMPENSATION FOR BREAKING UP CEMENT TREATED SOIL — EXTRA WORK
This compensation adjustment was requested by the contractor.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, adjust
compensation for having to break up the cement treated soil encountered during excavation in the existing
bonding basin areas. Perform all work according to the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications and
the Special Provisions. Payment for this work will be made as extra work at Force Account according to
Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. Total compensation for this work resulted in
$6,273.03. This amount will be paid as extra work.
This extra work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was
not warranted.
TOTAL COST PART III: $6,273.03 INCREASE
TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART III: ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS
PART IV: REMOVE AND DISPOSE EXISTING BURRIED UNDER CONCRETE STRUCTURE — EXTRA
WORK.
This extra work was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, remove &
dispose the existing buried under concrete structure encountered during the excavation in the northwest
portion of the proposed recharge basin. Perform all work according to the applicable sections of the Standard
Specifications and the Special Provisions. Payment for this work will be made as extra work at an agreed
Iumpsum price of$2,116, according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. This
agreed price includes compensation for all labor, equipment, tools, incidentals, mark-ups, and profits for
performing the above referenced work, no additional compensation will be made thereafter. This amount will
be paid through Bid Item No. 7, Supplemental Work Allowance, with no net increase to the contract.
This extra work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was
not warranted.
