Contract Extension Agreement#23-168
1) All capitalized terms have the meanings given to them in Agreement#23-168 effective
4/1/2025 between County of Fresno, Public Defenders Office ("Agency") and San Joaquin
College of Law("SJCL")
2) The Parties agree to Amend the Agreement as follows:
A. The term of the contract is extended from April 1,2025, to March 31, 2026.
B. As mandated by State of California: Section 14). The program does not cover or
permit payment of fringe benefits using work-study federal funds. However,
the State of California mandates 40 hours of paid sick leave annually for all
employees. Student employees are eligible for sick leave from the first day of
employment, there is no waiting period to begin to utilize the accrued sick
leave, if any accrued sick hours are used, it is to be at SJCL's expense.
3) All terms and conditions of the original Agreement remain in full force and effect.
