TO: DAVE CHRISTIAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.:
Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for
this contract. Because of the change(s), ONE (1) -WORKING DAY will be added to the contract timeline.
FURNISH AND INSTALL TWO (2) NEW FIRE HYDRANTS - EXTRA WORK
This extra work was requested by the contractor.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, furnish
and install two (2) new Mueller Medallion fire hydrants, at approximate Sta. 15+10 and Sta. 18+05
(Biota Ave). These new fire hydrants replace the outdated existing fire hydrants which were to be
relocated to the above referenced locations. Perform all work as shown on the Plans, according to the
applicable sections of the Special Provisions, and/or Standard Specifications. Compensation for this
work (materials costs plus delivery/handling) will be made at an agreed lump sum price of$12,532.98,
according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope,"of the Standard Specifications. This lump sum price
includes all materials, labor, traffic control, and equipment, and all markups associated with furnishing
and delivering/handling the two new fire hydrants to the project site. Compensation for the
relocations/installations will be paid in Bid Item No. 52, Relocate Fire Hydrants. Compensation for the
materials costs plus delivery/handling for the new fire hydrants will be paid as extra work.
One (1) working day will be granted for this work.
