9 LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY
VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LEASE OF
REAL PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT,
FURNITURE AND FURNISHINGS
10 ("VMC") AND THE LEASE OF
EQUIPMENT, FURNITURE AND
II FURNISHINGS LOCATED AT
VMC AND RURAL CLINICS

13 WHEREAS, certain real property and equipment, furniture and furnishings located
14 at the VMC campus, at 445 Cedar Street in the County of Fresno, California and certain
15 equipment, furniture and furnishings located at rural clinics operated by the County of Fresno in
16 Coalinga, Firebaugh, Mendota and Tollliouse, California (the"Property") is owned by the County
17 of Fresno;
18 WHEREAS, this Board intends to lease the Property to Fresno Conununity
19 Hospital ("FCH"), a non-profit public benefit cmporation, upon terms and conditions determined
20 by this Board to be in the best interests of the County and the general public; and
21 WHEREAS, this Board finds, based on the facts and circumstances as it understands them,
22 and the evidence and testinlony provided, the Property is not now contemplated to be needed and
23 will not be needed for County purposes, during the term of the lease to FCH and will be used by
24 FCH to carry out a program to meet the social needs of the population of the County;
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors hereby
26 approves the lease of the Property to FCH:
27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of this Board is hereby
28 authorized to execute a lease or leases for the Property with FCH.

2 Supervisors of the Cowl!y of Fresno this E!!!_ day of August , 1996, to-wit:
