PART II: ADJUST STORM DRAIN CLEANOUT ACCESS TO GRADE IN THE CENTER MEDIAN AT STA
356+20, SELMA REGION -EXTRA WORK
This extra work was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, furnish
and install a 30-inch by 48-inch Christy Box with a removable lid to adjust the storm drain cleanout
access to grade in the center median at Sta. 356+20, in the Selma region. This work consists of
chipping the existing access to fit the new box, grouting, backing filling, compacting and grading around
the new Christy Box. Perform all work in accordance with Section 71, "Existing Drainage Facilities," of
the Standard Specifications and/or the Project Specifications. Compensation for this work will be made

at an agreed lumpsum price of$5,009.92 according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special
Provisions. This amount includes compensation for all labor, equipment, materials, traffic controls,
incidental, markups and profit for the above referenced work, no additional compensation will be made.
This amount will be paid as extra work.
This extra work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time
was not warranted.
TOTAL COST PART II: A $6,009.92 INCREASE
TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART II: ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS
PART III: INSTALL "BORE GUARD" CONDUIT IN LIEU OF THE TYPICAL PVC CONDUIT AND
INSTALL UPGRADED N9 PULL BOXES IN LIEU OF THE STANDARD PULL BOXES FOR
THE STREETLIGHTS THROUGHOUT SELMA REGION PER PG&E REQUIREMENTS—
EXTRA WORK
This change was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, install
approximately 3,200 linear feet of 2-inch "Bore Guard" conduit in lieu of the typical PVC conduit, and
install at total of 38 N9 pull boxes in lieu of the standard N30 pull boxes for the streetlights throughout
Selma region per the PG&E requirements. Perform all work in accordance with the applicable sections
of the Standard Specifications and Project Specifications. Compensation for this work will be made at
an agreed lumpsum price of$65,000.00 according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special
Provisions. This amount includes compensation for all labor, equipment, materials, traffic controls,
incidentals, markups, and profit for the above referenced change, no additional compensation will be
made. This amount will be paid as extra work.
This extra work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time
was not warranted.
