1 AMENDMENT I TO AGREEMENT
2 THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT ("Amendment") is made and entered into this .1Qlli_
3 day o_f Decembe r, 2019 ("Effective Date "), by and between County of Fresno, a political subdivision of
4 the State of Ca lifornia ("COUNTY"), and the Veterans Memoria l Museum , a non -profit public benefit
5 corporat ion. whose address is 2425 Fresno Street . Fresno , Caltfornia 93721 ("CONTRACTOR").
6 WITNESSETH:
7 WHEREAS , COUNTY and CONTRACTOR entered into Agreement number 19-271 , dated
8 June 18, 2019 ("Agreement"), pursuant to which the COUNTY des ired to honor Fresno County's
9 veterans and preserve its military history through partially funding the CONTRACTOR ; and
1 o WHEREAS, COUNTY and CONTRACTOR now desire to amend the Agreement in order to
11 increase the Agreement maximum compensation amount for Fiscal Year 2019-20.
12 NOW , THEREFORE , for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which
13 Is hereby acknowledged, COUNTY and CONTRACTOR agree as follows :
14 1. Section five (5) of the Agreement , located on page three (3), lines nine (9) through 13,
15 is deleted in its entirety , and replaced with the following :
16 "COMPENSATION/INVOICING : COUNTY agrees to pay CONTRACTOR. and
17 CONTRACTOR agrees to receive compensation as follows : $26,000 (twenty-six thousand dollars).
18 In no event sha ll compensation paid for services performed under this Agreement
19 exceed $26,000 during the term of this Agreement. It is understood that all expenses incidental to
20 CONTRACTOR 'S performance of services under this Agreement sha ll be borne by CONTRACTOR."
21 COUNTY and CONTRACTOR agree that this Amendment is sufficient to amend the
22 Agreement. and that upon execution of th is Amendment. the Agreement and this Amendment together
23 sha ll be considered the Agreement.
24 The Agreement. as hereby amended . Is ratified and continued . All provis ions. terms .
25 covenants , conditions and promises contained in the Agreement and not amended herein shall remain
26 in full force and effect.
