HomeMy WebLinkAbout2214C CCO 23.pdf COUNTY OF FRESNO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER GOLDEN STATE BOULEVARD PHASE I CHANGE ORDER NO. 23 AMERICAN AVENUE TO MISSION STREET FEBUARY 20, 2024 CONTRACT NO. 22-14-C PAGE 1 OF 4 TO: YARBS GRADING AND PAVING INC Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for this contract. Because of the change(s), ZERO(0) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract timeline. PART 1: REPLACE PLAN SHEETS IN SELMA REGION TO REVISE STRIPING ON FRONT STREET, AND TO REVISE CURB RAMP GRADES AT FRONT STREET AND NORTH STREET INTERSECTION This was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work,"of the Standard Specifications, replace Plan Sheets 67A, 107A, and 113 with the attached revised sheets 67B, 107B, and 113A in the Selma region. These plans revised the striping locations on Front Street between sta. 336+40 and sta. 354+25, and revised the curb ramp at the northwest corner of North Street and Front Street. These revisions did not change the payable quantities; therefore, these revisions are being made at no additional cost. These revisions did not impact the critical path for the project,therefore, granting additional contract time is not warranted. TOTAL COST PART I: $0.00(NO COST) TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART 1: ZERO(0)-WORKING DAYS PART II: REMOVE EXISITNG AGGREGATE BASE MATERIAL FROM THE MEDIAN LANDSCAPE AREAS AT THOMPSON AVENUE INTERSECTION—EXTRA WORK This extra work was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work,"of the Standard Specifications, remove and dispose existing aggregate base (AB) material in the median landscape areas at the Whitson Street and Thompson Avenue intersection, between Sta. 316+15 and 317+00, and Sta. 319+15 and 320+60 (Selma region) as extra work. This work includes removing and hauling off the existing AB materials and placing and grading the excess native material available on the jobsite. Compensation for this work will be made as extra work at force account according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope,"of the Special Provisions.Total compensation for this work resulted in $4,223.93, this amount will be paid as extra work. This extra work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted. In accordance with Section 4-1,05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, remove and dispose existing asphalt pavement from the landscape areas at the Whitson Street and Front Street intersection, in the northbound outside shoulder, between approximate sta. 269+40 and 271+25. Compensation for this work will be made as extra work at force account according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. Total compensation for this work resulted in$1,810.00, this amount will be paid as extra work. This extra work did not impact the critical path for the project,therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted. TOTAL COST PART III: A $1,810.00 INCREASE TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART III: ZERO(0)—WORKING DAYS PART IV: REMOVE ABANDONED UTILITY POLE BASE FROM THE SUBGRADE AT 8T"STREET AND FRESNO STREET INTERSECTION—EXTRA WORK This extra work was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05,"Changes and Extra Work,"of the Standard Specifications, remove and dispose buried under wooden pole base at the southwest corner of 8ih Street and Fresno Street. Backfill and compact the excavated area using native materials available onsite to 6- inch below the subgrade. Place 6-inch hot mix asphalt materials plug to match the subgrade prior to paving the final asphalt pavement layer in this area. Compensation for this work will be made as extra work at force account according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope,"of the Special Provisions. Total compensation for this work resulted in $1,668.78, this amount will be paid as extra work. This extra work did not impact the critical path for the project,therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted.
