PARTl: REPLACE THE DAMAGED TRAFFIC SENSOR LOOPS—EX[RA WORK
This extra work was requested bythe engineer.
|n accordance with Section 4-1.05. "Changes and Extra VVork.^ of the Standard Soaoifirmtimno. replace o
total of two (2)Type E damaged loops on northbound Golden State Boulevard at Mountain View
intersection (approximate Sta. 189+00, Kingsburg region); a total of 12 Type D and 16 Type E loops at
Whitson Street and Second Street intersection (approximate Sta. 288+00 to 289+00, Selma region), and
two (2) Type E loops on southbound Golden State Boulevard at Merced Street intersection (approximate
Sta. 597+50, Fowler region) as extra work. This work includes saw cutting the pavement to form grooves,
cleaning and drying the grooves and surfaces, placing wire and sealant, and splicing the wires into the
traffic signal systems. Perform all work according to the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications,
Special Provisions, and/or any other Gpaoifioatinnmincluded in the contract documents. Utilize previously
approved materials for the traffic sensor loops. Compensation for this work will be made at a lumpsum

This extra work was requested by the engineer.
|n accordance with Section 4-1.O5. "Changes and Extra VVorh." ofthe Standard Specifications, remove and
dispose existing stamped concrete in the median areas at Whitson Street and Thompson Avenue
intersection, between Sta. 31O+15 and 317+80. and Sta. 31G+G5 and 318+15ao extra work. This work
includes saw cutting the stamped concrete at the median concrete curb edge and removing and disposing

$7,368, according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. This agreed lumpsum
price includes compensation for all labor, equipment, materials, tools, incidentals, markups, and profit, no
additional compensation will be made. This amount will be paid as extra work.

PART|I|c COMPENSATE THE CONTRACTOR FOR PLACING THE THERMOPLASTIC TRAFFIC
STRIPING, DETAIL 39 AND 39A—EXTRA WORK
This compensation adjustment was requested bv the contractor.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work,"of the Standard Specifications, compensate
the contractor for placing the thermoplastic striping; 22,397 LF of combined Detail 39 and Detail 39A, in the
Selma region, as extra work. This compensation adjustment is being made because this work was shown
on the Plans, but no bid items were provided, Perform all work according to Section 84, "Markings," of the
Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. Compensation for this work will be made at a lumpsum
agreed price of$27.1OO.37' according to Section 8-1.0D. "Payment 8copm." of the Special Provisions. This
agreed |unnpounn price includes compensation for all |obor, equipmnant, nlaterio|o, too|m, incidentals,
markups, and profit, no additional compensation will be made. This amount will be paid as extra work.
