TO: DOOLITTLE CONSTRUCTION, LLC:
Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not included in the plans and
specifications for this contract. Because of the change(s), FIVE (5) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the
contract time.
PART I: GRANT A TIME EXTENSION
This time extension was requested by the contractor.
Grant a five (5) -working days' time extension to the allotted contract time according to Section 8-
1.07B, "Time Adjustments," of the Special Provisions due to the additional subgrade repairs and for
adding and/or extending limits for the slurry seals at various locations. Compensation for the additional
work is made through the various bid items at unit bid prices, included in Part II of this change order. No
additional compensation will be made in conjunction with this time extension.
TOTAL COST PART I: $0.00 (NO COST)
TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: FIVE (5) -WORKING DAYS
PART II: INCREASE/DECREASE/ELIMINATE ITEMS AT UNIT PRICES
This compensation adjustment was proposed by the engineer.
Item quantities in the Bid Book and subsequent change orders are estimates only. This part adjusts item
quantities to the actual quantities used.

This change did not impact the critical path for the project, so granting additional contract time was not
warranted.

PART III: RESTORE TRAFFIC STRIPING AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS—EXTRA WORK
This extra work was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, restore various
traffic striping and pavement markings on Belmont Avenue between Winery Avenue and Helm Avenue,
Belmont Avenue between Peach Avenue and County limit, and Kings Canyon Road between County limit and
Clovis Avenue. This work includes the following details and the associated quantities:

Perform all work according to Section 84, "Markings," of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions.
Use only the approved materials for this project. Compensation for this work will be made at an agreed
lumpsum according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. The revised lumpsum
quote for this work was $48,105. However, this extra work resulted due to mistakes/errors on both the owner
(County of Fresno) and the contractor. The above referenced locations were mistakenly shown on the location
map included in the Project Specifications, however, the contractor failed to notify County staff prior to the

removal of the existing striping and pavement markings operation. Therefore, the County and the contractor
agreed to evenly split this cost. The County will pay $24,052.50 as the split cost for this extra work. This
agreed lumpsum price includes compensation for all labor, equipment, materials, tools, incidentals, markups,
and profit, no additional compensation will be made. This amount will be paid as extra work.
This change did not impact the critical path for the project, so granting additional contract time was not
warranted.
