HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgreement A-18-074 with City of Fresno PD (CIT).pdfr·• ,, _., -,,, } l,,,I' ,, (( ]r 'llllc:i) AGREEMENT 1 2 This Agreement is made and entered into the __ day of ______ 2018, by and 3 between the COUNTY OF FRESNO, a Political Subdivision of the State of California (COUNTY), and 4 the CITY OF FRESNO POLICE DEPARTMENT, whose address is 2323 Mariposa Street, Fresno 5 California, 93721 (CONTRACTOR). 6 W IT N E S S E T H: 7 WHEREAS, COUNTY's Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) desires to establish a 8 collaborative Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), comprised of DBH staff and law enforcement staff that 9 will be co-located at 1925 E. Dakota Avenue, Fresno, CA 93726 with the purpose of providing co- l O response within the Fresno metropolitan (Metro) area. The Fresno Metro Crisis Intervention Team 11 will be a Unit consisting of dual response by law enforcement and DBH clinical and program staff; 12 and 13 WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR desires to adopt a collaborative approach with law enforcement 14 staff in response to 911 emergency mental health crisis calls to provide appropriate mental health 15 crisis intervention services, post-crisis follow-up services, community and law enforcement training, 16 education, and outreach; and 17 WHEREAS, DBH has a need for a law enforcement partner to provide the co-located, co- 18 response, Crisis Intervention Team law enforcement responsibilities; and 19 WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR has the personnel skilled as law enforcement; and 20 WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR is qualified and is willing to provide such responsibilities, 21 pursuant to the terms of conditions of this Agreement. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual covenants and conditions, the parties 23 hereto agree as follows: 24 25 1.RESPONSIBILITIES OF CONTRACTOR A.CONTRACTOR shall fulfill all responsibilities as identified in Exhibit A, 26 "Scope of Work", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein and made part of this 27 Agreement. 28 B.CONTRACTOR shall collect, maintain and report all data for Crisis Intervention - 1 -COUNTY CW l•Rl•'.SNO hcsno, C\ Agreement No. 18-074 6th March 1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement as of the day and 2 year first hereinabove written. 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12, CONTRACTOR CITY OF FRESNO, FRESNO p,ot,t:~w, APPROVED AS TO FORM: DOUGLAS T.
