AMENDMENT II TO AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT, hereinafter referred to as Amendment II, is made and entered into
this__________ day of __________________, 2017, by and between the COUNTY OF FRESNO, a
Political Subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as “COUNTY,” and READING
AND BEYOND, a California private non-profit corporation, whose address is 4670 E. Butler Avenue,
Fresno, CA 93702, hereinafter referred to as “CONTRACTOR.”
WHEREAS, the parties entered into that certain Agreement, identified as COUNTY Agreement
No. A-15-603, effective April 1, 2015, and Amendment I, identified as COUNTY Agreement No. A-
15-603-1, effective April 1, 2015, hereinafter referred to collectively as Agreement No. A-15-603, for
a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training Pilot Program for
COUNTY’s Department of Social Services (DSS); and
WHEREAS, Agreement No. A-15-603 is being amended to allow the CONTRACTOR to meet
the goals of the project by adding necessary positions not included in the original agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the Agreement regarding changes as stated below.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual promises, covenants and conditions,
hereinafter set forth, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
1. That existing Agreement No. A-15-603, Section Seven (7), Subsection B, on
Page Six (6), beginning on Line 24 with the letter “B” and ending on Line 28 with the word “herein”
be deleted in its entirety and the following inserted in its place:
“B. Notwithstanding the above, changes to line items in the budget, attached hereto as
Exhibit C, in an amount not to exceed 10% of the total maximum compensation as identified in
Section Four (4) of this Agreement, may be made with the written approval of COUNTY’s DSS
Director or designee and CONTRACTOR. Budget line item changes shall not result in any change to
the maximum compensation amount payable to CONTRACTOR, as stated herein.”
2. That all references in existing Agreement No. A-15-603 to Exhibit C shall be changed
to read “Revised Exhibit C.” Exhibit C is deleted in its entirety and replaced with Revised Exhibit C,
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
COUNTY and CONTRACTOR agree that this Amendment II is sufficient to amend Agreement

No. A-15-603 and, that upon execution of this Amendment II, the original Agreement, Amendment I
and this Amendment II, shall together be considered the Agreement.
The Agreement, as hereby amended, is ratified and continued. All provisions, terms, covenants,
conditions and promises contained in this Agreement not amended herein shall remain in full force
and effect. This Amendment II is effective retroactive to October 1, 2016.
