AGREEMENT
3 THIS AGREEMENT , hereinafter referred to as "Agreement," is made and entered into
4 this 8th day of August , 2017, by and between the COUNTY OF FRESNO , a political
5 subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY," and the SANGER
6 UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, whose address is 1905 Seventh Street, Sanger, CA 93657 ,
7 hereinafter referred to as "SANGER USD."
8 WITNESSETH:
9 WHEREAS , some pupils attending SANGER USD are court wards on probation ; and
10 WHEREAS , SANGER USD desires services from the Fresno County Probation
11 Department be provided to pupils attending SANGER USD, and is willing to provide partial funding
12 for that purpose; and
13 WHEREAS , COUNTY is able to fund the remaining costs for one Deputy Probat ion
14 Officer with Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) funds .
15 NOW, THEREFORE, in respect of mutual promises contained herein, the Parties
16 hereto agree as follows :
17 1. OBLIGATIONS OF SANGER USD :
18 SANGER USD shall compensate and remit payment to COUNTY, as provided
19 herein , in an amount not to exceed, in aggregate, $37 ,500 .
20 2. OBLIGATIONS OF COUNTY :
21 The Fresno County Probation Department shall assign one (1) Deputy
22 Probation Officer to be responsible for ordinary probation services on a full-time basis at SANGER
23 USD school sites in the City of Sanger/County of Fresno as determined by mutual agreement of
, 24 SANGER USD and COUNTY 's Chief Probation Officer or his designee while this Agreement is in
25 effect and in force.
26 The duties of the assigned Deputy Probation Officer shall include , but are not
27 necessarily limited to, the following :
28 A. Provide supervision of minors on formal and informal probation
