FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT ("First Amendment") is made and
4 entered into this 7th day of_--=-Ju=n=e'---' 2016 , by and between the COUNTY OF FRESNO ,
5 a political subdivision of the State of California , hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY," and the
6 CITY OF CLOVIS, a municipal corporation , hereinafter referred to as "CONTRACTOR."
7 W I T N E S S E T H:
8 WHEREAS, COUNTY and CONTRACTOR entered into Agreement number 16-018
9 on January 12 , 2016 (hereinafter "Agreement "), pursuant to which CONTRACTOR agreed to
10 assign one (1) City of Clovis Po lice Officer ("Police Officer") to be responsible for fulfilling the
11 responsibilities of an Adult Compliance Team (ACT) member, as set forth in the Public Safety
12 Realignment Act Assembly Bill 109 Imple mentation Plan (AB 109 PLAN); and
13 WHEREAS , the Fresno County Community Corrections Partnership (CCP)
14 approved funding for overtime in Fiscal Year 2015-16 in the amount of $5 ,000 on April8, 2016 ;
15 and
16 WHEREAS , the CCP also approved funding for the Police Officer in Fiscal Year
17 2016-17 in the amount of $199 ,061 on April 8, 2016 ; and
18 WHEREAS , the one (1 ) year term of the Agreement will expire on June 30 , 2016;
19 and
20 WHEREAS, the COUNTY and CONTRACTOR desire to amend the Agreement to
21 increase the maximum compensation and extend the term by one (1) year.
22 NOW, THEREFORE , for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and
23 adequacy of which is hereby acknowledged, COUN T Y and CONTRACTOR agree as follows :
24 1. Section 3 TERM of the Agreement , at Page 2 , lines 10 through 12 , is deleted in
25 its entirety and replaced with the following :
26 "3 . TERM
27 This Agreement shall become effective on July 1, 2015 and shall
28 terminate on June 30 , 2017 ."
