GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into thisa\o'¢day of~~, 20~
between the County of Fresno, a political subdivision of the State of California, (hereinafter
called "COUNTY"), and RMA GeoScience, a California corporation, located at 3897 North
Ann A venue, Fresno, CA 93 727 (hereinafter called "CONSULT ANT").
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the COUNTY desires to retain a CONSULT ANT Architect to assist the
COUNTY Capital Projects Division Manager or his/her designated Project Manager in
completing various projects and advanced planning for future projects in the COUNTY's
Capital Improvement Programs and other COUNTY projects; and
WHEREAS, consistent with COUNTY Ordinance Code Chapter 4.10 and the Board of
Supervisors' adopted Policy governing the selection of architects, engineers, and other
professionals, a selection committee selected said CONSULT ANT to provide the COUNTY
with Geotechnical Engineering services for said projects; and
WHEREAS, the COUNTY Capital Projects Division Manager or his/her designated
Project Manager shall administer this Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the professional Geotechnical Engineering services of the CONSULT ANT
may be utilized by the Department of Public Works and Planning and other COUNTY
Departments; and
WHEREAS, staffing levels of COUNTY personnel may not be sufficient to perform
Geotechnical Engineering services for all projects, and
WHEREAS, said CONSULT ANT represents that it is qualified and willing to perform
Geotechnical Engineering services.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto have and by these presents do agree as follows:
I. CONTRACTING OF CONSULT ANT: BASIC PARAMETERS
A. The COUNTY hereby contracts with the CONSULT ANT as an independent
contractor to provide Geotechnical Engineering services as described in Article II and
enumerated in Article III herein.
B. The CONSULT ANT's servtces shall be performed as expeditiously as 1s
