1 AMENDMENT I TO AGREEMENT
2 THIS AMENDMENT I TO AGREEMENT 13-341, hereinafter referred to as
3 Amendment I, is made this·J-rb day of -f\\>.CL-l , 2015, by and between the
4 COUNTY OF FRESNO, a political subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter
5 referred to as the "County", and the SIERRA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, hereinafter
6 referred to as the "District".
7 WITNESSETH
8 WHEREAS, the County has been designated as the sponsoring agency to
9 administer and implement the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program
10 activities of the County, and its participating cities, in accordance with the provisions of
11 Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and the
12 laws of the State of California; and
13 WHEREAS, on June 18, 2013, the County and the District entered into
14 Agreement 13-341, hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement", whereby $75,000 in
15 CDBG funds were made available to the District for the Sierra Oaks Senior Center
16 Electrical Improvements, Project No. 12011, hereinafter referred to as the "Project"; and
17 WHEREAS, the total estimated cost of the Project has increased from
18 $75,000 to $76,550 due to increased construction costs; and
19 WHEREAS, the County now has an additional $1,550 of CDBG funds that can be
20 made available to the Project to accommodate the increased construction costs; and
21 WHEREAS, the District has requested these additional CDBG funds in the
22 amount of $1 ,550 be made available to the Project.
23 NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual promises as hereinafter set
24 forth, the District and the County agree to amend the Agreement as follows:
25 1. That the text on Page 1, Lines 16 through 18 be amended to read:
26 "WHEREAS, the total cost of the Project is estimated to be $76,550 and
27 the District has requested the sum of $76,550 from the County's allocation of CDBG
28 funds; and"

1 2. That the proposed Project budget on Page 2, Lines 24 through 26 be

That the dollar figure set forth on Page 3, Lines 1 and 19, and Page 4, Line

12 All remaining provisions, terms, covenants, conditions, and promises contained in
13 said Agreement dated June 18, 2013, shall remain in full force and effect.
