Because of the change(s), SEVEN (7) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract timeline. PART I: REPLACE PLAN SHEETS IN SELMA AND FOWLER REGIONS AND COMPENSATE THE CONTRACTOR FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAY BETWEEN EXISTING EDGE OF PAVEMENT (EP) AND PROPOSED EP IN FULL DEPTH RECYCLING (FDR) AREAS— SUPPLEMENTAL WORK This change was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work" of the Standard Specifications, replace Plan Sheets 3, 39B, and 40A with the attached revised sheets 3A, 39C, and 40C in the Fowler region, and replace Plan Sheets 6, 59, 60, 61, 62, 64, and 65 with the attached revised sheets 6A, 59A, 60A, 61A, 62A, 64A, and 65A in the Selma region to build-up of roadway subgrade in the proposed FDR areas. The revisions shown on the revised sheet are blocked out for clarification. Use native materials to build roadway subgrade to the top of FDR surface elevations and widths as identified on the revised plan sheets at the following locations: • SB Inside & Outside Shoulders/Turn Pockets—sta. 374+50 to 390+50 (1,475 SY) • SB Inside & Outside Shoulders—sta. 418+24 to 442+00 (1,930 SY) • SB Outside Shoulders/Turn Pockets—sta. 443+00 to 458+00 (640 SY) • SB Inside Shoulders/Turn Pockets—sta. 459+00 to 460+75 (30 SY) • SB Inside Shoulder—sta. 462+00 to 470+00 (500 SY) Place import borrow to build roadway subgrade to the top of FDR surface elevations and widths as identified on the revised plan sheets at the following locations: • SB Left Turn Pocket Approx sta. 381+00 to 384+00 (101 CY Import) • SB Left Shoulder Approx sta. 434+00 to 442+00 (87 CY Import) • SB Right Turn Pocket Approx sta. 443+00 to 457+00 (1040 CY Import) • SB Left Shoulder Approx sta. 467+00 to 470+00 (66 CY Import) Compact fill materials conforming to the requirements of Special Provision Section 19-5.03B, up to the bottom of the FDR structural section. The material in the FDR section needs to be consolidated sufficiently to ensure ample material is in place for performing the FDR process. Compensation for this work will be made at an agreed lumpsum price of$174,725, according to Section 9- 1.03, "Payment Scope," of the project. This amount includes compensation for all labor, equipment, materials, incidentals, markups and profit, no additional compensation will be made. This amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 3, Supplemental Work, with no net increase to the contract. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work" of the Standard Specifications, increase Bid Item No. 16, Relocate Fire Hydrant by one (1). TOTAL COST PART If: A $7,300.00 INCREASE TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART If: ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS PART III: COMPENSATE THE CONTRACTOR FOR SPRINKLER REPAIRS—SUPPLEMENTAL WORK This compensation adjustment was requested by the contractor. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work" of the Standard Specifications, compensate the contractor for the sprinkler line repair work at the southwest corner of Laurel and Simpson streets. Compensation for this work will be made as extra work at force account according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. Total compensation for this work resulted in $418.47, this amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 3, Supplemental Work with no net increase to the contract. This supplemental work did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not warranted.
