Make the following changes to the Plans and Specifications or do work not included in the Plans and
Specifications for this contract. Because of the change(s), 20 -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract
time. The completion date is October 3, 2023.
EXCAVATE AND ROUGH GRADE FUTURE MODULES 9 AND 10— EXTRA WORK
This change was proposed by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, excavate
approximately 414,000 cubic yards of native soil from Phase III Modules 9 and 10 area and rough grade
side slopes and subgrade per the attached drawing, as directed by the engineer. Place the excavated soil
in the Stockpile Area 2 shown on the Project Plans, as directed by the engineer. Perform work according
to the applicable sections of the Project Specifications and/or Standard Specifications. Compensation for
this work will be made as extra work at an agreed unit price of$3.74 per cubic yards according to Section
9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Project Specifications. This agreed unit price includes compensation for
all labor, equipment, incidentals, overhead costs, mark ups and profits, no additional compensation will be
made thereafter. Measurements for payment will be made by drone surveys of the final excavated and
graded surface of Modules 9 and 10. An initial surface for the proposed excavation areas was surveyed on
June 7, 2023, see attached drawing. An estimated compensation for this extra work is $1,548,360, the
actual compensation will be determined upon completing the final drone surveys. The actual
compensation amount will be paid through Bid Item No.1, Supplemental Work, with no net increase to the
contract.
A 20-working days'time extension will be granted for this work.
