1 FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
2 THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT ("Amendment") is made and entered into this
3 24th day of September, 2019, by and between COUNTY OF FRESNO, a Political Subdivision of the
4 State of California, Fresno, California ("COUNTY"), and ShawNoder/Antwih, Inc. and Michael Y.
5 Corbett and Associates, a California corporation, whose address is 1415 L Street, Suite 1000,
6 Sacramento, CA 95814 ("CONTRACTOR").
7 WITNESSETH:
8 WHEREAS, COUNTY and CONTRACTOR entered into Agreement number 18-567, dated
9 September 25, 2018 ("Agreement'), pursuant to which CONTRACTOR agreed to provide State
10 Legislative Advocacy Services to COUNTY; and
11 WHEREAS, COUNTY and CONTRACTOR now desire to amend the Agreement in order to
12 delete the Professional Liability Insurance requirement, as the COUNTY has determined this provision
13 is unnecessary for this Agreement.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of which
15 is hereby acknowledged, COUNTY and CONTRACTOR agree as follows:
16 1. Section 9(C) of the Agreement, located on page 6, lines 18 through 21, is deleted in its
17 entirety.
18 COUNTY and CONTRACTOR agree that this Amendment is sufficient to amend the
19 Agreement, and that upon execution of this Amendment, the Agreement and this Amendment together
20 shall be considered the Agreement.
21 The Agreement, as hereby amended, is ratified and continued. All provisions, terms,
22 covenants, conditions and promises contained in the Agreement and not amended herein shall remain
23 in full force and effect.
