Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for
this contract. Because of the change(s), TWENTY (20) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract
timeline.
PART I: REVISE PROJECT PLANS IN KINGSBURG REGION FOR THE STORM DRAIN REDESIGN
This change was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, replace plan
sheets 32, 37, 50, 53, 60, 61, 62, and 81 with the attached revised plan sheets 32A, 37D, 50A, 53D, 60B, 61 C,
62C, and 81A in the Kingsburg region. These plan sheets are being revised to redesign the storm drain system
between sta. 59+18.06 and 64+32.75 on Golden State Boulevard along with Laurel Street down the existing
ponding basin. Also, the signing and striping plan at the railroad crossing on Sierra is being revised. The
revisions shown on the revised sheets are blocked out for clarification. The following bid items were increased,
decreased and/or eliminated due to these revisions:

TOTAL DECREASE: $7,400.00
The revisions also include an additional Type G3 drainage inlet, a 24-inch flare-end section along with the
changes in cost for the manholes, drainage inlets, and the reinforced concrete pipe due to the revised depth.
Compensation for these changes will be made as extra work at an agreed lumpsum price of$59,752
according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the project. This amount will be paid through Bid Item No.
3, Supplemental Work, with no net increase to the contract.
Also, associated with these revisions, addition of a 159 LF of channel walk-through drain and additional
potholing will be addressed in a subsequent change order.
These changes required impacted the critical path for the project, therefore, 20-working days will be added to
the allotted contract time.
TOTAL COST PART I: A $36,746.00 DECREASE
TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: TWENTY (20) -WORKING DAYS
PART II: REVISE PROJECT PLANS IN FOWLER REGION
This change was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, replace plan
sheets 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43 with the attached revised sheets 39C, 40B, 41 D, 42C, and 43B in the Fowler
region. These plan sheets are being revised to modify the sawcut match points, edge of pavement grades,
cross slopes and curb and gutter between Manning Avenue and East Valley Drive along the southbound
shoulder. The following bid items were increased and/or decreased due to these revisions:

These changes did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was
not warranted.
