TO: YARBS GRADING AND PAVING, INC.:
Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for
this contract. Because of the change(s), ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract timeline.
PART I: REVISE PROJECT PLANS IN KINGSBURG REGION
This change was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, replace Plan
Sheet 47 with the attached revised Plan Sheet 47A in order to revise the structural section for the turn lanes
and the median paving from 1.0-foot hot mix asphalt (HMA) to 0.55-foot HMA over 1.30-foot aggregate base
(AB). The revisions shown on the revised plan Sheet 47A are blocked out for clarification. The following bid
items are being increased or decreased due to these revisions:

These changes did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was
not warranted.

PART II: COMPENSATE FOR ADDITIONAL POTHOLING TO INVESTIGATE AN EXISTING UTILITY
FOR STORM DRAIN INSTALLATION —SUPPLEMENTAL WORK
This compensation adjustment was requested by the contractor.

Adjust compensation for the additional work for potholing and verifying an existing 6-inch transite
waterline at sta. 60+84, 15.00' Lt, for the installation of a redesigned storm drain, in accordance with
Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications. This work included
potholing, hot tapping into the waterline, and backfilling. This compensation adjustment will be made as
extra work at force account according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions.
Total compensation for this work resulted in $2,007.90, this amount will be paid through Bid Item No. 3,
Supplemental Work with no net increase to the contract.
This change did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not
warranted.
TOTAL COST PART II: $0.00 (PAID IN BID ITEM NO. 3)
TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART II: ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS
PART III: COMPENSATE FOR REMOVAL OF AN EXISTING IRRIGTION SYSTEM—EXTRA WORK
This compensation adjustment was requested by the contractor.
Adjust compensation for the additional work for removing and disposing existing irrigation system for
the HMA trail alignment between Stroud Avenue and Sta. 95+06, in accordance with Section 4-1.05,
"Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications. This work included cutting,
removing/disposing, and capping of the existing irrigation system. This compensation adjustment will be
made as extra work at Force Account according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special
Provisions. Total compensation for this work resulted in $619.59, this amount will be paid through Bid
Item No. 3, Supplemental Work with no net increase to the contract.
This change did not impact the critical path for the project, therefore, granting additional contract time was not
warranted.
TOTAL COST PART III: $0.00 (PAID IN BID ITEM NO. 3)
TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART III: ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS
PART IV: REVISE PROJECT PLANS IN KINGSBURG, SELMA, AND FOWLER REGIONS
This change was requested by the engineer.
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, replace Plan
Sheet 11A with the attached revised Plan Sheet 11 B for the Kingsburg Region, replace Plan Sheet 12A with
the attached revised Plan Sheet 12B for the Selma Region, replace Plan Sheet 12A with the attached revised
Plan Sheet 12B for the Fowler Region. The above referenced plan sheets were revised to incorporate vertical
information for the control points. These changes are being made at no additional cost.
