Because of the change(s), ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the road closure contract timeline only. PART I: REVISE PROJECT PLANS This change was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, replace Plan Sheet 25, 55, and 87 with the attached Plan Sheet 25A, 55A, and 87A for the Selma Region. The revision included in these revised plan sheets modifies sidewalk and curb and gutter improvements at the SE corner of Floral Avenue intersection. The revisions shown on each sheet are bordered for clarification. TOTAL COST PART I: $2,520.00 DECREASE TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS PART II: ALLOW BID ITEM#21 —REMOVE TREE WORK TO BE PERFORMED DURING THE FIRST ORDER OF WORK, SUBMITTALS This change was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work" of the Standard Specifications, allow for Bid Item #21 —Tree Removal work to be performed under the First Order of Work, Submittals phase. This work can commence as soon as a Waste Discharger Identification (WDID) number is issued for the approved Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and the necessary traffic control plans are approved for the areas of work. WHY: The existing PG&E utility vault in the curb return at the SE corner of Floral and Golden State Boulevard, Sta, GSB-CL2 338+03, 100' RT, is to be remained and protected in place. In order to protect this vault, the sidewalk and curb and gutter improvements were modified. Therefore, the pertaining Plan Sheet 25, 55, and 87 are being replaced with the revised Plan Sheet 25A, 55A, and 87A for the Selma Region, thus decreasing the quantity of Bid Items 17, 63 and 67. HOW: The above refenced changes are being made in accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, resulted in a decrease of$2,520. COST: A $2,520 Decrease PART II - DESCRIPTION: Allow Bid Item #21 — Remove Tree to be performed during the First Order of Work, Submittals. LETTER OF TRANSMITTAL - C.C.O. NO. 01 JANUARY 27, 2023 WHY: The County of Fresno staff desired to remove trees prior to the birds' nesting season. Therefore, it was necessary to allow the contractor to perform Bid Item #21 — Remove Tree work during the First Order of Work, Submittals phase. HOW: This change is being made in accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, at no additional cost the contract.
