TO: VIKING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.:
Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for
this contract. Because of the change(s), ZERO (0) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract.
INSTALL RUMBLE STRIPS
This change was requested by the engineer.
According to Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, install rumble strips
per 2018 Standard Plan A40B, from Sta. 27+68.53 to Sta.44+43.60 Left and Sta. 28+08.08 to Sta. 44+43.60
Right. The rumble strips shall be placed 8"from edge line delineation to edge of indent and continuous
between the stationing listed above, minus the bridge backwall only. Compensation for this work will be made
as extra work at an agreed lumpsum price $27,946.40, according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the
Special Provisions. This agreed lumpsum price includes compensation for mobilization, demobilization,
installation and removal of traffic control including flaggers and pilot car if needed, grinding of the rumble strips,
removal of the grindings, street sweeping, fog seal material and application, any and all markups with no
additional compensation beyond the agreed price as set forth.
This work will be done during the suspension period, so granting additional contract time was not warranted.

Design If the Contractor does not sign acceptance of this order, his attention is directed to the requirements of the
specifications as to proceeding with the ordered work and filing a written protest within the time therein
specified.
