HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015C CCO 05.pdf COUNTY OF FRESNO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER JAMES BYPASS BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS ON MANNING AVENUE CHANGE ORDER NO. 05 3 MILES EAST OF COLORADO AVENUE MAY 2, 2022 FEDERAL AID NUMBER: BRLS-5942(233) PAGE 1 OF 2 CONTRACT NO. 20-15-C TO: VIKING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.: Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for this contract. Because of the change(s), TWO (2) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract time. REPLACE EXISTING DAMAGED ASPHALT CONCRETE SURFACING — EXTRA WORK This extra work was requested by the engineer. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, replace approximately 1,005 square yards of the existing damaged asphalt concrete surfacing to a 4-inch depth, at the locations marked by the engineer (between the two bridges). Perform this work in accordance with Section 39- 3.02, "Replace Asphalt Concrete Surfacing," of the Special Provisions with the following revisions: Section 39- 3.02C Construction — 1) the hot mix asphalt (HMA) depth 4-inches in all locations, and can be paved back in one lift; 2) the minimum width 6-inches, and the cold planed material becomes the property of the contractor and to be disposed of; 3) the payment is made at $220 per ton of HMA as an agreed unit price according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. This agreed unit price includes compensation of all labor, materials, equipment, overhead costs, markups, and incidentals for performing this work. The estimated quantity for this work resulted in 215 tons, and the total estimated cost resulted in (215 tons x $220 per ton = $47,300) $47,300. The actual payment will be made as extra work based on the actual quantity used in the field, a subsequent change order will be executed to reflect any changes. Two (2) working days will be added to the allotted contract time and to the road closure timeline.
