HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015C CCO 03 Revised.pdf COUNTY OF FRESNO CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER JAMES BYPASS BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS ON MANNING AVENUE CHANGE ORDER NO. 03 3 MILES EAST OF COLORADO AVENUE JANUARY 13, 2022 FEDERAL AID NUMBER: BRLS-5942(233) PAGE 1 OF 2 CONTRACT NO. 20-15-C TO: VIKING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.: Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for this contract. Because of the change(s), FIVE (5) -WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract time. PART I: MODIFY GIRDERS AND ABUTMENTS/PIERS This change was requested by the Contractor. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, eliminate the dropped girder ends as shown on the original Plans, and revise the abutments/piers for both bridges as shown on the attached drawing. Fabricate the girders with straight bottoms and adjust abutments/piers elevations with secondary pour after the road closure has been instituted and the existing bridge demolished and removed from the work zone. Since this change is being made at the Contractor's request, any impacts associated with this change, including additional materials needed, placement of such, cure time, and any impacts to the road closure timeline including assessment of liquidated damages if time is overrun, will be absorbed by the Contractor. No additional compensation, nor additional time will be allowed. TOTAL COST PART I: $0.00 (NO COST) TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: ZERO -WORKING DAYS PART II: REMOVE UNFORSEEN BURIED OBJECTS AND CONCRETE IN THE ABUTMENTS AREAS; AND REPALCE DAMAGED TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES — EXTRA WORK This compensation adjustment was requested by the Contractor. In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, remove the buried underground objects and concrete blobs in the abutments areas, and replace the damaged (by the public traffic) temporary traffic control devices as extra work. Perform all work according the applicable sections of the project Special Provisions and/or Standard Specifications. Payment for this work will be made as extra work at Force Account according to Section 9-1.03," Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions; total compensation for this work resulted in $8,671.84. A total of five working days' time extension will be granted for performing this extra work in accordance with Section 8-1.07B, "Time Adjustment," of the project Special Provisions.
