TO: VIKING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.:
Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for
this contract. Because of the change(s), Zero (0)WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract time.
PART I: REVISE PLAN SHEETS S-8 (18)AND S-20(30) —EXTRA WORK
According to Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, replace Plan Sheets
S-8 (18) and S-20 (30) with the revised sheets (attached). These plans sheets were revised to increase the
prestressing requirements from 3,170 to 5,980 kips for the bridge on the west channel (Sheet S-8(18), Bridge
No. 42C0691), and to decrease the prestressing requirements from 3,170 to 2,200 kips for the bridge on the
east channel (Sheet S-20(30), Bridge No. 42C0692)). The revisions are clouded as identified under the
"Prestressing Notes". These revisions are being performed as extra work at an agreed lumpsum price
$19,558.00, according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. This agreed lumpsum
price includes compensation for all additional material, engineering, placement, prestressing, overhead costs,
and profits as required by the revised plan sheets; no additional compensation will be made for this work.
This work did not impact the critical path for the project, so granting additional contract time was not warranted.
TOTAL COST PART I: $19,558 INCREASE
TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: ZERO (0) WORKING DAYS
PART II: COMPENSATE FOR FILING THE NOTICE OF INTENT (NOI) - EXTRA WORK
Compensate the Contractor for the actual expense for filing the Notice of Intent (NOI) with the California State
Water Resources Control Board. Filing of the NOI became pertinent when it was determined that this requires
a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) in lieu a Water Pollution Control Program (WPCP). The
Contractor paid $509 as the NOI filing fee, this amount will be reimbursed to the Contractor as extra work.
This work did not impact the critical path for the project, so granting additional contract time was not warranted.

TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART II: ZERO (0)WORKING DAYS
NET COST THIS CHANGE ORDER: $20,067 INCREASE
