TO: VIKING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.:
Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for
this contract. Because of the change(s), ZERO (0) WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract time.
REVISE BID ITEM NO. 4 "PREPARE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PROGRAM"
In accordance with Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, revise Bid Item
No 4, "Water Pollution Control Plan," (WPCP) to comply with requirements of the Storm Water Pollution
Prevention Plan (SWPPP), in compliant with the requirements of Section 13, "Water Pollution Control," of the
Standard Specifications and Special Provisions. Compensation for the extra work resulted with this change
will made an agreed additional price of$2,690 (in addition to unit bid price of Bid Item No. 4), according to
Section 9, "Payment Scope," of the Special Provisions. This additional price includes $1,400 for preparing the
SWPPP document, $750 for filing two (anticipated) Annual Reports ($375 per report), $270 for filling the Notice
of Intent (NOI), and $270 for filling the Notice of Termination (NOT). The NOI fee will be compensated at the
actual cost, to be covered in a subsequent change order. All other items regarding the revision from a WPCP
to a SWPPP are covered in the Project Specifications and Standard Specifications, which are required to be
adhered to, with no additional compensation.
This work did not impact the critical path for the project, so granting additional contract time was not warranted.
