EXCAVATION, INC.: Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for this contract. Because of the change(s), THREE WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract time. The revised completion date is January 7, 2022. PART I: ALLOW THE CONTRACTOR TO WORK IN PAHSE I, II AND III CONCURRENTLY This change was requested by the Contractor. According to Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, allow the Contractor to work in Phase I, II and III concurrently in lieu of the sequence specified in Section 8-1.04D, "Order of Work," of the Special Provisions. The Union Pacific Railroad's (UPRR) contractor did not provide a specific schedule for completing their work and showed up on the project site suddenly. This change is being made to accommodate the UPRR's Contractor for completing their work associated with this project without causing any delays to the project. This change is being made at no additional cost. This change did not impact the overall completion of the project, therefore, granting additional time was not warranted. TOTAL COST PART I: $0.00 (NO COST) TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: ZERO -WORKING DAYS PART II: EXTEND SHOULDER CONSTRUCTION ALONG AMERICAN AVENUE — EXTA WORK This change was made the Engineer. According to Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, extend shoulder construction between approximate Sta. 133+50 and Sta. 136+50, along the east bound lane of American Avenue as shown on the attached drawing. Use the shoulder structural section shown on the Plans. This work also includes construction of dirt shoulder, installation of six delineators (Class 1, Flexible Post, Type F), striping, and drainage ditch. Compensation for this extra work will be made at unit prices of the pertaining bid items and also at agreed lump sum price for the additional items, according to Section 9-1.03, "Payment Scope" of the project Special Provisions. Three additional working days will be added to the allotted contract time for this work. TOTAL COST PART II: A $12,678.08 INCREASE TOTAL TIME EXTENSION PART I: THREE WORKING DAYS PART III: INSTALL INLET TYPE GMP IN LIEU OF TYPE G-1 This change is made by the Engineer. According to Section 4-1.05, "Changes and Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications, install a 36-inch Type GMP inlet with Type 36R grate in lieu of Type G-1 concrete box inlet at Golden State Boulevard, Sta. 30+56.80. Perform this work per State Standard Plans D75A and according to the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications and project Special Provisions. The new GMP inlet shall be set back off the edge of pavement. The final grades and offset shall be determined by the Resident Engineer. This change is being made at no additional cost. This change did not impact the critical path of the project schedule, therefore, granting additional time was not warranted.
