Make the following changes to the plans and specifications or do work not in the plans and specifications for
this contract. Because of the change(s), 34 WORKING DAYS will be added to the contract time for the First
Order of Work, Submittals. The revised date of completion for the First Order of Work was August 27, 2021.
GRANT A TIME EXTENSION
This change was requested by the Contractor.
Grant a time extension of 34 working days to the "First Order of Work, Submittals" due to additional
time required to provide Submittal review responses. This time extension is being granted according to
Section 8-1.04C(1), "First Order of Work, Submittals," of the Special Provisions.

DESCRIPTION:
Grant a time extension.
WHY:
Grant a 34 working days' time extension to the allotted contract time for the First Order of Work,
Submittals due to the additional time required by the County's staff and Design Consultants to
review and provide comments regarding material submittals submitted by the Contractor.
HOW:
A total of 34 working days are being added to the allotted contract time for the First Order of
Work, Submittals, according Section 8-1.04C(1), "First Order of Work, Submittals," of the
Special Provisions. This section states, "In the event that the Engineer's review of a submittal
or re-submittal requires in excess of ten (10) working days, the Engineer shall extend the
number of working days allowed for the completion of the first order of work by one working day
for each working day of delay in the Engineer's completion of the review".
