AGREEMENT
3 THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this_ day of July, 2020, by and between the
4 COUNTY OF FRESNO, a Political Subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as
5 "COUNTY", and Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission, a California non-profit organization whose
6 address is 1920 Mariposa Mall Suite 330, Fresno, California, 93721, hereinafter referred to as
7 "CONTRACTOR".
8 W I T N E S S ET H:
9 WHEREAS, COUNTY, through its Department of Public Health, is in need of community health
1 O outreach and support services related to the COVI0-19 pandemic to address the needs of COUNTY's
11 vulnerable populations including immigrants, food and farmworkers, other essential workers and people of
12 color, and;
13 WHEREAS, COUNTY is in need of widespread community messaging through trusted community
14 leaders to enable and improve voluntary compliance to contain the spread of COVID-19 especially among
15 high-risk residents who face challenges to testing, isolation, sheltering-in-place and other containment and
16 mitigation measures, and;
17 WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR has submitted a comprehensive, equity-focused proposal to COUNTY
18 to improve the COUNTY's ability to effectively respond to the pandemic, remove challenges, and better
19 cope with the geographic scope and cultural-linguistic diversity, and;
20 WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR has the ability to execute and oversee subcontracts with multiple local
21 community benefit organizations skilled in the provision of such services and possessing unique community
22 ties to vulnerable population groups to advance health equity throughout the pandemic;
23 NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, terms and conditions herein
24 contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
25 1.OBLIGATIONS OF THE CONTRACTOR
26 A.CONTRACTOR shall perform all services and fulfill all responsibilities identified in
27 Exhibit A, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
28 B.CONTRACTOR shall abide by local and state pandemic guidelines in place at any
