I. Definitions. (A.1.) County shall be Fresno County 2. I. Definitions. (A.2.) Department shall be Fresno County Department of Public Works, 2220 Tulare Street, Sixth Floor, Fresno, California 93721. 3. I. Definitions. (A.3.) Engineer shall be the Director of Public Works for Fresno County or his agent. 4. I. Definitions. (A.4.) Purchasing Department shall be County of Fresno, General Services Purchasing, 4525 E. Hamilton Avenue, Fresno, California, 93702. 5. I. Definitions. (A.5.) Purchasing Agent shall be the Purchasing Agent of Fresno County or his deputy. 6. I. Definitions. (A.6) Delete in its entirety. I. Definitions. (A.7) Delete in its entirety. 7. III. General. Delete last paragraph starting with “The composition of paint…” in its entirety. 8. VI. Detailed Requirements. No-Tracking Time Field Test – Change to “The paint shall dry to a no-tracking condition in a maximum of 75 seconds. The no-tracking condition shall be determined by actual application of the pavement at a wet film thickness of 15 mils with white paint covered with glass beads at a rate of 6 to 7 pounds per gallon.” 9. VII. Packaging and Marking. (3) Delete Bulk tank paragraph and following paragraph starting with “The construction…” in their entirety. 10. VIII. Sampling and Inspection. Replace paragraph one with the following: “For all traffic paints, vendors shall supply written certification from the County of Los Angeles, or from an approved independent Materials Testing Laboratory, that candidate products meet or exceed specifications noted herein and shall include all written test results therefore. “Please submit testing laboratory credentials to Robin Quinn for approval (Fax: 559-262-4166).” “In the event any paint does not comply with the specification, the Contractor will be required to replace all remaining paint in the possession of the Department at the Contractor’s own expense within 30 calendar days. This includes all handling and transportation charges. 11. XIX. Delivery. Replace paragraphs one, two and three with the following: “The County will make every effort to make the total order in truckload quantities, however, no minimum order will be specified. Orders will be placed throughout the year on an as-needed basis. Deliveries shall be made within 30 days of order placement.” “The delivery point for all material shall be the County of Fresno Traffic Sign Shop, 4557 E. The Department reserves the right to accept or reject a specific batch or batches of paint based upon the results of such sample tests.” 12. IX. Vendor Support. Replace first sentence with the following: “Upon the Engineer’s request , the Contractor shall be available to provide a minimum of two days technical support to the Department, at no additional cost.” 13. X. Delivery. Replace the first paragraph with the following: “The County will make every effort to make the total order in truckload quantities; however, no minimum order will be specified.
